Robert Hodgin’s amazing examples of how far you can push the Java 3D animation programming language, Processing, is almost enough to get me back into programming again. Almost.
Processing
Processing is an open source programming language and environment for people who want to program images, animation, and sound. It is used by students, artists, designers, architects, researchers, and hobbyists for learning, prototyping, and production.
I came across Processing earlier last year after stumbling on a number of projects that were making use of it, including We Feel Fine and Universe, and hope to get in to tinkering with it at some point soon.
Batman animation short
I’m a sucker for all things Batman, and am very much looking forward to the upcoming LEGO Batman game (anyone who has played LEGO Star Wars can probably relate) and The Dark Knight, the sequel to Batman Begins. This, and because it’s Friday, is why I’m having such a hard time not sharing part one of this amazing animated Batman shortfilm by Isaak Fernandez Rodriguez. [via NOTCOT]
