Montreal and Just For Laughs
On the last stretch of an impromptu weekend road trip, we made it to Montreal just in time for the last legs of the Just For Laughs (”Juste Pour Rire”) comedy festival that was taking place in the city.
I had no idea that the festival was going on, so it was a really nice surprise to see most of the major streets closed down to cars and open to pedestrians only. Giant, eclectic floats and vibrantly costumed street performers lined the street and you could really feel the energy throughout the city.
I’ll be visiting the city again in about two weeks or so, but this time flying out on Porter and staying in slightly nicer accommodations. The city is like a photographic gold-mine, so expect more from that trip for sure!
