Vancouver… or not

So it looks like I won’t be going to Vancouver for the IEEE conference after all. I’m going to work to develop the project further, and we’re instead going to work towards the goal of patenting it (read: make some money). I think it’s a good trade-off, but now I have no vacation planned! Maybe it’s time to consult the travel list.
