  So it looks like I won't be going to Vancouver for the IEEE conference after all. I'm going to work to develop the project further, and we're instead going to work towards the goal of patenting it (read: make some money). I think it's a good trade-off, but now I have no vacation planned! Maybe it's time to consult the travel list.

  It's about time. Apple is releasing their iPhone in June, which should hopefully give other phone manufacturers a serious kick in the ass. This thing is going to sell like crazy, and should hopefully bring on a wave of nicely designed, intuitive, and useful phones. The iPhone packs a lot into its diminutive case, which is almost as thin as the Moto Q, including Mac OS X, but what is it missing that would make this the killer gadget?
